Women Education and development

Hi everyone, yesterday I had chance to listen one women who are work for women right. Her name is Arvonne Fraser. She was a represetntaive of USA in United Nation (UN). She had chance to join many conferences in the past. In her opinion, education in necessary for women then she worked with many organization to create this chance for women. According to her speech, she said about 3 main goal of women's movement are education, employment and participate in our life, work as representative,. They try to find women leader, pushing people to pay attention in many country and help United Nation confession. One time, she jointed the world conference that had theme : Equlity, development and peace. In 1995 had big issue come up as a result of conference is Violant againt women right. Each country should to include this issue in every country speech. She gave one example about first women lawyer who are organized women right and show situation in many street theater. The main point is point out that problem that women encouter with. In the end of the speech she opened for many question from listener. One of question that is very interesting is Do you think women will be the person who will lead US in the future? She said definately. That's awesome answer.

Women working for women´s equality

Hello everybody!!! Today, I listened to a really interesting woman talking about women´s force in the social life. This woman, Arvonne Fraser, made an excellent work to show how some people (mainly women), including herself, have been involved in creating an ideal environment to show the relevance and importance of women in the common life. Her activity started in USA and continue with different commitments among organizations helping women in non-industrialized countries.  Each of the four meetings of Women in development, held on different countries (i. e. Mexico, in 1975) let people become aware of the role of women in the society. She gave two examples of how International laws could help to women. One of these stories was about one woman that lived in a non-industrialized country, and how a court decided to give her sons the double nationality. This response was a sign of giving to this woman an active role on her sons´s lives. Efforts from this kind of organizations that moves people to realize about women´s role in the society is appreciated. I´m really grateful for her honesty and feeling that she has had since the beginning of this venture. 

         Some weeks ago, each of us presented a short talk about non-profit organizations. And, listening to other´s speech made us sensitive of being helpful for somebody else.  Today, this talk made me feel that each of us can start a small movement that at the end could result in a big impact on someone´s life.  We live in a society, no matter how big or small it is. We have some commitments between us. One of them, is to help others to reach a better life. In this case, she demonstrated a really good way to show others how relevant the role of women between us is. 

         At the end of this lecture, I was interested to read one of her books, the purple one (she talked about some stories written there, and women who participated in the elaboration of this book) to discover more about this great story. Bill Gates consideres his Foundation´s partners will continue participating

    Bill Gates is not only the chairman of Microsoft, he is co-chair of Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. And last year he published his first annual letter of the foundation. Reporter asked him about the thought that took him to the keyboard. He said it was because one of his friends encouraged him to share with the people his toughths and points of view of what is going on inside the foundation and other issues. He is very excited about what people e-mailed and he realized that it is daunting not to have an  answer for all of those questions. But, he is pleased with starting a dialogue with people. His letter has been compared with that written by the Gospel of the Wealth. Bill Gates shares with him the point of sharing wealth, but he explained that he read this one a long time ago before comming a wealth man. Reporter asked him about current global economic collapse and his decision of being for full-time in the Foundation almost at the same time. He said he has planned this before it occurred, and that he knew since the beginning that his company would have twists and turns as many others. And that Microsoft leadership will continue (no matter the 5000 layoffs occurred). Other point of this interview was if people were still interested in participate in this, as they could think that Gates is pouring his wealth. He answered that people is still interested, it has not been a fact against charity. Finally, he said that the main goal of this year is to maintain the interest of his Foundation´s partners to still participate in this, and reach this long-term goals.

I think that Bill Gates´s interest of being involved in charity is honest. And listen to him could encourage people to get involved in all this issues. This time is hard to deal with the idea to give some money for somebody who are not ourselves. But, you can see how people have become more sensible to lacks of people, so charity in our days has changing. I think that big charities might be out of order, but small charities might be more frequent and relevant nowdays. So, the manner that he is trying to get more partners (small partners, maybe like us) will influence on this movement, no only for his Foundation. On the other side, he is pushing other presidents of big companies to do the same throug his attitude.

Hello everyone. How was your life? Today I heard some news about donation and it was interesting then I would like to talk more about donation in my article. Here is the link click here.

Economic in US has not been quite good and donation seems to be one thing that was cutted by many people in this situation. Accoring to article,Holden Karnofsky ,co-founder of Givewell.net, was invited to interview about Does it make sense to volunteer time instead of money? Karnofsky said that he would like to persuade people who quite had more time to research what they can do more than volunteering? In his opinion, he thought volunteer is over advertised and some volunteering have nice theory while practice was not good enoght. He suggested people ,who want to maximize the charitable return on their dollar, to find some good charity and research about that charity. First thing that we should looking was "Is that charity can people change their life or not?". If that charity just began, we should follow up their progression because some new charity was really work. Another thing that we should concern about was "Is our money go directly to people who need it?". Sometimes money did not go directly to that people. It means we thought that we helped them but in fact we did not help them anymore. In the end of interview, Karnofsky gave advice to look at bigger and longer established charity for good result in the future.

Charity is the good things that teach us helping another people to change their life. I would like to suggest everyboby find some good charity and donate some money for them. Don't think that it just a little amount because it's not just a little amount for people who need it.

Keep away from economical chaos; create a budget this 2009

I listened to this article about financial advices for this new 2009. As everybody knows, USA and many other countries are under economical problems. As a consequence, many people got afraid and they hope to come through this crisis. In this lecture, a financial advisor, will give us easy tasks to overcome it.  Here is the link:

Michelle, a financial advisor, said that many companies that are now in problems forgot to have a cash cushion. And she invites us to not forget that we must save money. One way to do it, is to not buy articles out of our real necessities.  If you do it for a month, you will realize how much you save. Other suggestion was that, you could save money, 7% of your total month income, in an automatic way. Then, you will not take that money, and will become a real saving account. Other tip is to take out from our wallet any credit card. To avoid any possibility to buy something unnecessary. Besides, she talked about devotion nowdays. She considered that is dumped. In fact, she mentioned that she has talked about it many times in this program. This feeling could influence on the interest to do something real to face this situation. Besides, she said a fact: ".......... you are in bane when you have debt". This sounds strong, but it is real.

The purpose of this lecture is that people become aware of how we could be safe of this economical crisis. 

I think that these suggestions are viable, so we could save money in an easy way whithout big efforts.

Chrysler's Bid For Survival

Today, I found somthing interesting to tell you again. It's about Chrysler company.

The main Chrysler problem are it does not have attractive small cars and global distribution system. Now, they faced with money problem. Many people agrees with solution to solve Chrysler problem which are shutdown of the automaker and the sale this product to best brands outside companies or controlled wind-down of the organization.

The spoken man of Chrysler said they will not shut down the company because they will give outline company plan to treasury department to be viable over the long term. This plan include 24 new products and two paths to viability. For the person who taking care Chrysler they said "The alliance will give us access to Fiat Group vehicle platforms, which will complement our current product portfolio with fuel-efficient, environmentally friendly small cars and powertrain technology."

I think, it is good way to solve Chrysler problem now because it is better than close the company or send own product to sell in another brand name.

New idea for saving money

I listened to this broadcast HERE about a new way for saving money.



Everyone knows that eating out everyday may coast a lot of money and there are more other advantages and disadvantages for it. Some of the advantages is to go out and change the routine of staying at home. Also seeing new things and hanging out with the friends, but did we think about the disadvantages. There are a lot of things we consider. Like the food, it might be not delicious or unhealthy and the waste of money everyday is a big problem. Anyway my main point is cocking at home is the best way to end all these doubts. And for those who don't know how to cook, it's not a big deal, because cooking schools started to spread everywhere.

The cooking schools they talked about are from Portland. Oregon. They teach the students simple dishes in the beginning and then they earn more skills and know how to be creative in cooking.

So if you don't know how to cook and you want to learn new things and earn more experience. Join one of these classes and you will know what the kitchen in your home can do.
