Hi everyone. My name is Pat. This is the first article for me.
Today, I found one of interesting article that I want to share with all of you.
Here is the link click here!!!
The name of this article is 50 years since the day that music died. They talk about fifty years ago that we lost three rising star who are Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and J.P.Richardson (as known as The Big Bopper). They are the single who came to performs in concert at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake was part of the Winter Dance Party. In that time Ritchie Valens is the highlight person in this concert. The hit songs for him are "La Bamba" and "Donna". The Big Bopper is the name of Taxas disc jockey J.P.Richardson and his hit song is "Chantilly Lace." They are going to performing a lot every night between Iowa and Minnesota and in that time is winter time. Transpotation quite bad they are took plane from Mason city airport. Unfortunately that after plan take off, it crashed in an Iowa cornfield then this accident kill three rising stars. After that accident Larry Lehmer wrote the song named "The Day the Music Died" for all of them.
In my opinion, I ever listen this song "The day the music died" in famous movie "American pie" but i did not know about history of this song before then today after i read this article it has interesting history why the author wrote this song.

When I read your comments I remember to heard of that before. In my building is used to post brief, helpful or interesting notices. And some days ago, part of this story was posted. But I didn´t see that movie, so I visited Youtube and I realized that I have listen to this music, but it was Madonna´s version.
ReplyDeleteAlthought I don't understand anything about music, but since he is a big singer. Richardson should still be remembered in this field, because of the changes he made in history.
ReplyDeleteDid you all listen to this article? Were any of the songs familiar to you? They are "oldies" here.
ReplyDeletePat - your summary is very good, but remember to watch your verb tenses (what tense should you use if this actions being reported happened 50 years ago?)
It sounds like these musicians were going to play at a winter dance party - I think it would be great to have one of those now!
